  5. Guest Speaker: Stephanie James from “What About the Flowers?” Stephanie taught us so many great things about flowers, starting with how much people love to get them….They can really make you smile. Here are some great highlights to help you with your flowers in the future. When getting ready to put your flowers in a vase, always cut them on an angle, this allows for the flower to “drink” up the water. Misting your flowers can help lots, since they need the moisture externally as well as internally. If you have gotten some flowers from “What about the Flowers”, Stephanie puts flower food in her vases. It is best to never pour that water out, just add to it. And for long flower life keep them in a vase as opposed to foam. “What About the Flowers” also has a great gift selection to take a look at. For those of you who might need reminders of special events, they can do that for you too…. And join the bunch club while you are there, you buy 9 bunches and the 10 th one will be free.
