Last Week for Junior Zookeeper Camp
at Wildlife West Nature Park
Next week is the last Junior Zookeeper Day Camp at Wildlife West Nature Park. Sign up now for this amazing week-long day camp program for children 8 to 12 years of age. Two certified teachers provide children with a rare opportunity to experience up close and learn about New Mexico’s native wildlife in a safe and educational environment.
Thanks to funding support from Santa Fe County, this five-day camp is only $25/child for families who live in Edgewood or Santa Fe county, or $70/child for families outside this area. Daily snacks and drinks are provided.
Children will go with the zookeepers to feed the animals, make toys for the wildlife, observe their behavior, and get behind the scenes tours led by zookeepers. This outdoor educational program will help children develop life-long values about wildlife and the environment, and learn all about the wildlife at Wildlife West Nature Park, including the newest arrivals – two 8-month old mountain lions.
Space is limited, so register now by going to www.wildlifewest.org to obtain the registration form which needs to be mailed or dropped off along with payment, or call Wildlife West at 505-281-7655.
